I'm trying to make an awesome gaming PC solely for gaming. The build comes up to almost 1400$ CAD. Is there anything I could have done differently within that price range to maximize performance for gaming? Is there anything I could have done to make it cheaper?

Also, I plan on OCing both CPU and GPU. My current voltage on normal clock rates is 373W. My PSU is 650W. Is that good enough for OC? or is it too good?

Hi, thanks for the input!

I especially like the new mobo you recommended. I will replace the ASus with that. And you also made me realize that the current fan I had wasn't fit for gaming so I changed that too. Thanks a big bunch! :)

I'd still rather go with Nvidas GEFORCE for now. I really do like the AMD performance/price ratio but their 270 and 280 products seem to have issues. A decent amount of reviewers have fan breaking, blue screen, and other problems. I'd rather not take that risk and headache and just pay a few more bucks.

I got an AMD processor for more bang for you buck and comparable performance. I got a lot better GPU because thats the main thing you need to upgrade for gaming performance.

For overclocking the gpu you can just add some more coolers and youre good to go.

Thanks for the input guys! And @jhp, yes I decided to spend the 100$ more for the 770. :) I'm at 1450$ roughly now. http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/user/EdwinK/saved/tb7v6h

Thanks I hope I do. What do you mean by brand tinker? I don't even know what tinker alone means, haha. The novice side of me shining through.
