what do you think of this build for gaming and programming for a comp sci course in college. I woulld like to shave a couple hundred off of the price tag but this will do. So suggestions , Comments , Criticism let me know

Try a non-gaming motherboard because it's like shelling out dough for things you most likely won't need/use. This might be a good sub for that! that chip set wont work with the new refresh chips will it. The reason I ask is possible CPU upgrades in a year or two or will it be just as effective to just upgrade the board at that time too

Well for starters...you're using an overclocking motherboard with a processor that can't be overclocked, and putting a cooler on it too. If you aren't planning to overclock this is what I'd do:
