I'm brand new to building computers and would like to have any opinions on the parts I have selected thanks! http://pcpartpicker.com/user/SniperBoys1900/saved/MnyV3C

Your build is pretty solid, though there are ways to save some money. For example, instead of a WD Black, you could go for a Blue which is more consumer grade. The WD Black is a "performance" drive, but pretty much just has better quality parts and is more enthusiast-grade. Though, don't let my opinion stop you from getting it if you want. It'll just save you ~$20-$30. Also, you can get a 2x4 kit of 8Gbs ram for cheaper than your 1x8. I think you can find a cheaper version of Win8.1 for like $89 or $99.

Thanks I probably will switch over to a WDBlue or green. As for Win8.1 I didn't want to use an OEM version. Thanks
