I'm trying to keep everything under $1500. Also I'm a beginner and I was told to add an SSD. What do they do?

An SSD os basically a hard drive but way faster... No moving parts and faster read and write speeds. But they are obviously more expensive but also more reliable so it is worth it.

I'd get a K version of processor. You have a motherboard that allows for overclocking, so for roughly the same price, I would get the 4670k. If you do decide to overclock it will be more powerful than the 4690 you have selected, even if it is a mild overclock.
