Total Noob wants to make Burly Upgradable Maya and After Effects Workstation

Hey guys I'm getting out the Mac game and want build my own workstation, which will mostly run After Effects, Premiere, and Maya. While this current configuration isn't super powerful the idea is that down the line I can add another video card or get another CPU and make it more awesome over time.

I've been using PC Part Picker and reading Tom's hardware guide and came up with this, which has the CPU, RAM, and video card I like, but I'd love to know if this will actually work especially in terms of cooling, power and the motherboard. Also I like the current price point, but can be flexible if I'm missing something important. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Why did you choose that graphics card?

Quadro is supposed to be the professionally oriented GPU, although I am now hearing that my needs won't really be benefited by a Quadro.
