Would Corsair Vengeance Pro 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-2400 Memory be overkill for my build?

I was talking to a guy earlier and he said that 2400 ram will be too stressed and will die faster if I use it for my build and that I should go with 1866 ram.

Here's my build so far: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/cn87pg

Ignore the double Corsair rams. I'm still deciding on which ram to get.

The 2400 ram is also cheaper than the 1866 rams which is odd. http://pcpartpicker.com/part/corsair-memory-cmy8gx3m2a2400c11r

This is true, for now the 2400 ram are still not as great as the 1600 or 1866 rams.

Rams I recommend from use.

Corsair: Vengeance Pro, Dominator, Dominator GT, vengeance, dominator platinum

kingston: Fury, Hyper X

G.Skill: Ripsaw X, sniper, trident X

Crucial: Ballistic Sport, Sport XT

Oh,

Now days you need 8GB for just about anything. It will be enough because some programs will use 6. For your build 8GB is perfect and also for any other build. Overkill is 16GB+ which you only need for CAD, rendering, or heavy photo editing.
