Trying to build a new machine for gaming and Streaming for $500 and/or less

My current computer is old... very old. to put it in perspective...

AMD Athlon(tm) 64 x2 Dual Core 5600+ Nvidia GeForce Gt 520 4 gig memory and running windows seven...

As it stands now, games run at minimum 70% of my cpu, and anything that runs around 85 and higher for too long causes blue screen of lovely death.

Every computer I have ever owned was built and I figure why break the trend. I'm not interesting in playing games in Ultra (uber, holy Tod it is almost real) settings. I just want to be able to play and maybe stream games.

My first goal was to just upgrade my cpu but My motherboard is so old that it's pretty much not possible. And now I'm rambling...

I respectfully ask for help of the professionals on creating a gaming/streaming rig that hurts my pocket less so I don't have to skip meals and can keep paying bills.

This is what I saw on a youtube video but as said, If this can be made better/cheaper I would be happy.
