AMD build vs. Intel build, Mid Range

AMD: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/dino39/saved/WwtQzy

Intel: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/dino39/saved/GfH8TW

It'll be used for playing games, BF3, TF2, Borderlands, Skyrim, etc., as well as regular web browsing. This'll be my first computer build (ditching my PS3 :D ). I'm having trouble making up my mind on whether to go with AMD or Intel. Will the 6300 bottleneck the 760? I'm slightly more inclined to go with AMD because of the price, and I don't plan on playing any CPU intensive games. I would be willing to bump up to an FX-8320, but I don't know if it'd be worth the extra money. I'm not planning on doing any overclocking, so that's why I went with a locked i5. They're the same build except the CPUs and mobos. So, AMD or Intel? Also, any advice, criticism, or comments is/are welcome! Oh, and I want to keep the price below $775 USD.

keeping it below 775 is deff easier with an AMD cpu. The 6300 will not bottleneck a 760. Monitor/Keyboard/Mouse, Windows? Any flex at all on that price?

Mouse: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/logitech-mouse-910003589 Keyboard: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/cooler-master-keyboard-sgk4000gkcl1us Monitor: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/asus-monitor-vs228hp For the OS I'm going with Windows 8.1 64 bit. I see no reason not to just try Windows 8, I've heard good things about it, so it can't be all bad. Don't worry about the cost on those.

That adds $230 to what I posted

Sorry, I didn't make myself clear. My parents have agreed to purchase the peripherals and OS, so don't worry about the cost of those.

An R9 270? Wouldn't a 270x be more on par with the 760? Also, any reason you picked the EVGA PSU over the Corsair one?

GPU was just trying to keep cost down and that PSU is just as good.

I think I'll stick with the Corsair just because it's semi-modular, the EVGA one isn't. And thanks for showing me that mobo, it's a bit less, the reviews are good.

Actually, just noticed it's a micro ATX. Would that be a problem?
