First dedicated gaming PC

Hello everyone! To make a long story short, I'm likely going to be building my first dedicated gaming computer soon, but I'm fairly new to this and am not 100% sure what I should get. My goal is to have a relatively affordable PC (probably a max of C$2000 or so) that I can have without worrying about upgrading it for a few years or so, and I also want to be able to play virtually any modern game on maximum settings (ex. Skyrim).

I have a build in mind fortunately, but what I would really like is for someone to offer me some advice on whether or not this build will work and/or if they are reasonably priced. It also doesn't really take into account case fans (how many do I need?), thermal compound (what would I use it on?), or peripheral hardware such as speakers and such, because the plan is to buy each part individually to put less of a strain on my budget.

I would greatly appreciate any advice that could help me make an informed decision!

You need exactly zero case fans as the pc case you buy will already have them. PSU is way too high. Should get a 660w max for that gpu. Thermal compound is only used when attaching your cpu cooler onto your cpu and most coolers like that 100i will already include thermal compound in the box (a lot of youtube vids on it).

Last, since your still underbudget, id recommend upgrade your gpu to a 780ti or a 290x. That's your number 1 priority in a gaming pc.

Beautiful, thanks for your advice! I just updated my list, and I think I'll go with it.
