Seeking feedback! First time Builder!

Man, this is more overwhelming then I thought!

I'm trying to build a gaming rig that can handle games like Skyrim and Bioshock Infinate on highest settings with no lag.

Any and all feedback will be great! I dont want to go higher than AUD$3,800. Actually, if I can make it any cheaper, that would be great.

It would also be good to know if my case choice is easy to clean / maintain. If my coolers and PSU are adequate enough.

Thank you for your time and thought!

Okay, there are a couple things that you're overpaying on.

Nobody needs 2400mhz RAM. It's a total waste of money because nothing can actually use it. 1866 is absolutely plenty right now. Look for RAM with the lowest possible CAS value at 1866.

Stick with a 256GB SSD. It's the best bang for buck right now. The more stuff you put on there, the more it's going to be accessed, and the faster it will wear out. You can save yourself almost $200 right there.

Any reason for Windows 8.1 Pro instead of the regular version?

I feel like you're overpaying on your power supply. You don't need 1000W unless you're planning to get another GPU. $300 is a little high.

In addition to wololo's comments (tho as it wasn't completely clear I should quickly point out that reading from a ssd is totally "free" regarding drive life, it's only write's that hurt ssd endurance) -

You have an air cooler & a water cooler listed, as far as I'm aware you can't use both at the same time... (unless water cooler is for the gpu?)

8gig is fine for gaming, you can always add another 4/8 later if needed.

lga 2011/i7 is way overkill for gaming, that's more like a full on workstation, usual recommendation is for a i5

840 pro is a little too overkill I think, 840 evo is perfectly fine for home use with minimal real world difference.

Full tower case is a little ott also imo, you don't really need such a large case unless you're going multi gpu or you've got a whole bunch of hdds or something like that.

Thank you for the feedback, I'm reassessing my RAM and Storage.

I'm hoping to make it a bit future proof with room to upgrade; which is why I was opted for a full tower and 1000W psu, in case I want to add another GPU in the future
