Best version of the GTX 770? ASAP decision! My first build.

Decided that the 780 isn't worth the extra $150 or whatever.

What's the best version of the GTX 770 for my build, for top performance without having to add anymore cooling?

I was thinking this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130921

Running a single monitor.

Don't plan on overclocking, as I don't even know how to. Thanks.

Lastly, Windows 8.1 or 7?...

You should go with EVGA GTX 770 because its has better cooling Check this out : http://www.guru3d.com/articles-pages/evga-geforce-gtx-770-sc-review,6.html

The windows basically matters on you preference if you ask me i would go with windows 7 or 8 not 8.1 cuz when i switched to windows 8.1 i lost about 5-7 fps in games . But after all it matters on personal preference. Edit : but if you want to go with GTX 780 then go with ASUS cuz they have better cooler then other companies check this out for more info http://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages/asus_geforce_gtx_780_directcu_ii_review,8.html

and for the opposite result of updating to 8.1 on my ultra book, it gave me about 10fps in games.

Edit: Also, that link doesn't compare the different brands of the GTX 770 like he was asking one to do.

Edit : i was telling the lowest temperature, anyway there you go http://www.anandtech.com/show/7392/the-geforce-gtx-770-roundup-evga-gigabyte-and-msi-compared

I read the articles, the differences seem so minuscule IMO.

I found Windows 8.1 easy to use.. it fixed errors more often than 7 did but, I still think 7 is a better choice especially if there is no difference in FPS, some say there is. I can't decide on which 770 to get...
