I'm wanting to build a gaming rig with longevity (ease of upgrades) and price/performance ratio as the primary drivers. Can anyone give me some guidance?

Here's what I've come up with so far:

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

Type Item Price
CPU Intel Core i5-4670K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor $219.99 @ Amazon
CPU Cooler Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus 76.8 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler $24.97 @ OutletPC
Motherboard Gigabyte GA-Z97X-UD3H ATX LGA1150 Motherboard $119.99 @ Newegg
Memory Kingston Fury Black Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory $76.99 @ Amazon
Storage Crucial MX100 512GB 2.5" Solid State Drive $212.99 @ Amazon
Video Card Sapphire Radeon R9 290 4GB Tri-X Video Card $389.99 @ NCIX US
Case Fractal Design Define R4 w/Window (Black Pearl) ATX Mid Tower Case $109.99 @ Micro Center
Power Supply Cooler Master VSM 750W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply $89.99 @ Newegg
Monitor BenQ XL2411Z 144Hz 24.0" Monitor $249.99 @ Amazon
Keyboard Corsair Vengeance K95 Wired Gaming Keyboard $129.99 @ Amazon
Mouse Corsair Vengeance M65 Wired Laser Mouse $52.99 @ Amazon
Speakers Cyber Acoustics CA-3602 30W 2.1ch Speakers Purchased For $39.99
Total
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available $1717.86

The peripherals I'd like to keep as is, even if it is a bit wasteful. Does anything else stand out here? Any obvious upgrades or downgrades? I think I need some help with motherboard selection.

Thanks

i recommend to get 1 stick of ram so if you have the money later you can get a mother stick. that case. i am not really a fan of. that graphics card, can do better for the price. That ssd is an overkill. since thats the only one you have i guess its fine. on my macbook i only have 500 gb and only used 100 gb for applications so ig guess it is fine. that cooler cooler is fine. not needed if you no oveerclock
