I see nothing wrong with this setup!

The only change I would make is getting Windows 8.1 instead of 7, with the right setup it wont be much different from 7 (addons like classic start, and setting up so it starts up at desktop).

You will only benefit from it since it works better and future upgrades (like DirectX 12) will be for newest versions of windows
