How does this build look to you guys? I'm currently on a AMD build (8320/990fxa-ud3 with a msi 280 gpu) and I have no problems with it for the most part. I'm looking to dabble into a intel build and see the differences from AMD. The only complaint I really have about my current rig is the load times from power on to full load into windows. I bought a hyperx 3k 120gb SSD a while back and have been contemplating about using it as a boot drive. Would it make that big of a difference?

Intel build - http://pcpartpicker.com/user/icenine63/saved/2CcRsY Current AMD - http://pcpartpicker.com/user/icenine63/saved/rZ2rxr

Any ideas/tips are appreciated, thanks.

  • Intel Core i7-4770K w/ MSI Z87-G45 Gaming: Combination is based off the older "Haswell" technology. Current similar would be Core i7-4790K which costs less if you have a Micro Center nearby.
  • Corsair CMZ16GX3M2A1600C10: Alternative with better specs and costs less. G.SKILL F3-1600C9D-16GAR
