Does this build look good for a first timer? Also, will I need a wired internet card or whatever as well? Apologies if that is a dumb question.

Based on my knowledge, this will be a great build, everything seems to be pretty balanced. I'm assuming you're building a quiet system, the Caviar Green HDD makes sense if so. And, you won't need any wired network card, since your motherboard is equipped with an ethernet port already.

Anyways, good luck on your first time!
