Damn, for that price I'd throw an SSD in it as well. Now, I'm new to building a PC, and depending on what games you play, you could save some money with picking a different GPU, some older versions should be able to play recent smoothly. Though games like Watch_Dogs, I've heard require quite a powerful GPU, and more than the usual 2GB dedicated ram. But I don't know. I'm mostly commenting to bump you up, since it's urgent.

For a pure gaming build you could get 8gb of ram instead of 16. If you are doing some heavy photo and video editing stuff you might need 16 but for gaming you shouldn't. You could switch to a 290X which trades blows with the 780 and probably save a little cash. You could also cut a few fans out too. With the money saved you could afford a ssd. I would also look for a gold rated power supply at or close to that price.

The only thing I didn't do is take some fans out and it's still a little lower priced than the original.

Thanks for the list! The only reason I went for the 780 is because I could fit it on my budget. The most graphi intense games are COD: Ghosts and BioShock: Infinite. Of course with all that I have I figured I could keep up with games for the next couple years or so.

I hear ya. I only changed the 780 because the 290X is the equivalent to maybe slightly better than the 780 for a better price and should last you just as long. Now if you just prefer nvidia to amd go for the 780, the performance difference will probably not be very noticable.

The 290x is more powerful than a 780, especially when looking at a non reference unit (reference blowers experienced a good deal of thermal throttling)

That's what I wanted to say just couldn't find any comparison benchmarks for a non reference card at the time lol

If you want, you could always use 2 GTX 760's in SLI for about the price of a 780 but with more performance.

But the one 780 leaves room for upgrading in future

So I edited around the list, is this better?
