Hello, I am building my first ever gaming PC. I have picked the parts (some are unnecessary) but it's around my £1000 budget. Link to my parts: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/XfPrRB Please give me advice or tips to help me save some money. I am gonna be gaming at 1080p mostly and using only a single monitor so is my GPU good for that? Also the motherboard I chose is pretty pricey so if there are any good alternatives please suggest. Any help would be appreciated!

Yes that GPU has plenty of power for 1080p gaming

I'd recommend getting a HHD as well as an SSD for your data. 1 or 2tb harddrives are sooo cheap nowadays.

Pretty much any z97 or even z87 board is a safe bet. There is almost zero performance difference between them, just pick something that looks good/has the features you like eg SLI or whatever.
