Building my first PC. Any Advice?

I plan on using this computer for gaming such as League of Legends and maybe some steam games. However I do want this to be optimized more towards video editing and programs like photoshop. So I want a to get the most out of the money I put in. I don't want to spend more than $1200 and anywhere I can save a few bucks would be great. Please guide my feeble mind _^

I don't plan on overclocking. And thank you for the link on the HDD. Every bit will definitely help out
