Video Creating Workstation

Hi, My employer wants me to build a computer for her that is compact and will be able to easily edit videos. She didn't give me a budget so let me know what you think of this. http://pcpartpicker.com/user/CaptainGonzo/saved/LJzFf7

Do you need a data backup solution or does your workplace have a server that this workstation will be connected to?

It has a server already.

Just a note, your saved build doesn't have a PSU yet.

See if she likes this price point first: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/pWdNxr

The OCZ SSD is an export/render drive. Monitor is IPS (more important than response time or refresh rate for editing). Includes a UPS for backup power in case of power loss or accidental unplugging and a PP05-E short cable set to make the build easier (trust me, I've built in that case and really wished I'd gotten that PP05-E).

That's about the same size as the Bitfenix Prodigy.

If not that price, then try: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/9NwM4D

For the first build (http://pcpartpicker.com/p/pWdNxr) it has a not that says: Some Intel X79 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Ivy Bridge-E CPUs.

Do you know what this means?

For the second build (http://pcpartpicker.com/p/9NwM4D) it has a note that says: Unable to verify the Cooler Master Elite 130 Mini ITX Tower Case has sufficient mounting depth to support the Corsair H80i 77.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler 120mm radiator.

Do you know if this will fit?

For the first build it means you need to update the BIOS because the version out of the box does not support the 4930k. This is easy with ASUS boards that use USB BIOS Flashback. I did a build on that board and needed to update the BIOS without a CPU and all I had to do was follow ASUS instructions for USB drive format and file renaming then plug in the PSU to the board, hold down the ROG Connect button until the light started flashing, then wait for the light to stop flashing.

The H80i will fit the 2nd build. If you go to the case's PCPartPicker page and view the completed builds there's a dropdown filter on the right for CPU coolers used with the case. You can view all the coolers people on this site have used with this case and which build entry.
