My first gaming pc for gaming, I'll be playing skyrim with graphics mods, gta and minecraft. Does everything look okay? I want it to be very future proof.

I'm not quite sure how much a R9 290 costs in the UK, but that is a better option for your price point. It's way stronger than a 770 and has 4GB of VRAM as well.

It works out about the same on ebay, but it has 947Ghz and the 770 has 1.14Ghz for the same price.

You're making an amateur mistake.

Ghz does not determine performance when you're looking at two different models of GPUs.

A stock clocked R9 290 demolishes any overclocked GTX 770 that is on the market right now. And getting an overclocked R9 290 demolishes it even more.

You wouldn't expect a GTX 750Ti at 1.4Ghz to beat out a GTX 770 now do you?

No problemo. Just make sure to check all the benchmarks that are out there when shopping for cards. You'd be surprised as to how some perform in comparison to others. The R9 290 is about as strong as a GTX 780.

It's actually more expensive for a 4gb r9 290 with 1.04Ghz than a gtx 770 4gb with 1.14ghz
