I am looking for some insightful remarks on these parts I've considered for my mini-ITX build.
It will be used for the following;
- v. light 3d rendering (3ds max), not so important.
- casual photo editing
- gaming (mainly Arma 3 - arguable whether it is CPU or GPU intensive.. comments welcome) this will define the build
I have chosen the next gen haswell-refreshed i5- 4690k CPU from Intel.
I am fitting 2X4Gb 1600mhz g.skill ripjawz Z ram from another build
Will I see that much of a return in performance with it overclocked or am I better off going with a cheaper locked CPU on a H97, Z87 mobo for example?
What about going with an AMD 6 or 8 core chip. Being a mini form factor case, heat needs to be considered too, thoughts?
I understand I could shave off a few euros here and there on the other parts.. but I am happy to pay a bit more dollar for reputed brands but please share your thoughts.
I am looking to slash prices where possible to get < 800 euros if possible. So I am all ears.
