Looking good, the HDD is small when you can get a 2TB for little extra cost, the PSU is only bronze when you can get gold fully modular, and I'd add an SSD - just a couple of thoughts giving you;

thanks Tel..the SSD was actually an oversight as i rushed off to eat my dinner lol ... But very good point to get the fully modular PSU and for the difference it makes sense as does the 2TB. As its my first ever build I was unsure on the motherboard and whether it is good value for money or if I may have better option. but thanks for input so far.

I'd say the MSI gaming 5 has a solid feature set for the money, 7.1 sound, SLI, etc. The specification you have here would allow you to add a second 770 any time you wanted too.

If you have no intention of adding a second graphics card, then a cheaper motherboard would do the job, maybe Asus A97K (sorry don't know the MSI equivalent off hand), and a Corsair RM 650W PSU would be fine.

Thinking about it never say never and always best to be prepared.. so may stick with 750W PSU just in case I add another 770. would the 750W PSU be ok if this was the case do you think?

750W gives you the headroom to add another 770, like you say best to be prepared. You can never future proof as such, but giving yourself options certainly helps.
