A small introduction on what Im looking. My main aim is a computer able to handle Autodesk and Adobe softwares smoothly. I'm an animation student just starting and I would like this build to last until I finish my studies (4 years). Some softwares I use are Maya, 3Ds-max, Mudbox, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, and so on. I also am a gamer, though I have no need to run games at highest requirements, I'm happy setting everything to low. So basically I want something I can game on, that has slow rendering times and handles heavy software all that in a 800$ ~ 900$. I'd really hate to go over 950$ for this. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/vNL7sY What would you say I should add/change?

Thank you for your help :) Update: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/HrGxxr

I would recommend getting 8 GBs of RAM.

Also get a SSD and put your OS and some favorite programs on it for faster boot up speeds :D.

  • Ditto to the 8GB of memory.
  • Would use DDR3-1600.
  • Would use the current Intel Core i7-4790 instead of the older Core i7-4770.

I've changed almost everything based on feedback: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/HrGxxr

added an ultra plus SSD 128g, getting along with the build so far. Thanks guys.
