Planning a build, Is this PSU watts enough?

PcPartPicker Build: 297 watts

PSU: 500w

I might add a few more optical drives at one stage, and maybe an SSD in a year or two.

Is the PSU wattage alright?

You would be fine with that Corsair CX-M. It's a good model but there are better units near the same price. If you can I'd suggest getting one of the units i suggested.

Anything in the second and first tier are solid units and can handle heavy loads over prolonged amounts of time.
