What would be the right wattage for two 980s running in SLI?

With a tdp of 180 per card, get a 750 watt power supply. But it depends on you cpu. The one I suggested was for Haswell-Refresh cpus.

Getting a 4790K. Had a nerdgasm as soon as I saw the 980 was released; the release really creeped up on me. Thanks.

Yeah the 750 watt is enough. And I'm glad to know that I wasn't the only one who got a nerdgasm for these new nvidia gpus.

nnngghhhh!

Hahaha. Google toms hardware power supply tier list. it will tell you what quality of all of the psu's that are out there currently. You'll want a Tier 1-Tier 2b definitely (especially if overclocking). If you get 120% of your estimated wattage, you should be good, but that's the minimum. I'd get atleast 125-130% just to be safe. Have fun with your build! I can't wait to see it!

Oh I am DEFINITELY going to overclock it considering I'm going for the Twin Frozr V version when it comes out. Anyways, after doing some research, I'm guessing 760W would be plenty. Thanks.
