8.1 Embedded from DreamSpark

Hello everyone,

I building a PC soon and obviously it'll need an operating system. I'm able to get a copy of Windows 8.1 Industry Pro Embedded (64 bit) for free from the Microsoft Dreamspark project and then install it from a disk I burned it on. I know this will work as I've done it with my laptop.

I just wanted to know what people think of this decision and wether or not I should just pay for a copy. As far as I know from other people and from personal experience, it's a fully functional version of the OS with working updates.

Just in case it helps with advice giving, I'm going to have a build with an AMD-FX6300 and Radeon r9 270x with 8GB of RAM.

Thanks for the tip,

I'm probably just going to use the embedded version until windows 10 comes out. Unlike windows 8 that seems to deserve my money XD
