Noise dampening foam replacing

Say I wanted to remove the foam from a case and replace it with something I see more fit. ( ie. a dish towel) Could I do this and where could I find bitumen for sale?

There are tons of noise reducing stuff online. I would get micro studio foam, the sponge like material with triangles to dampen noise, don't worry I saw a lot of cases with those. Don't use dish towels, static isn't always good.

No, that is my way of saying static is bad.
