anyone know the difference between the asrock fatality z97 killer and the z97x killer? i havent been able to find anything.

The Z97 killer is a little bit less luxurious. Less MOSFET cooling and not as good power delivery. It also has several of the now obsolete PCI slots. You can't buy an expansion card new that isn't PCIe for the most part. Also, the SATA ports are mounted flat on the board on the bottom as opposed to vertically on the side.
