It's a sub-£500 for DAW / Recording build (as well as everyday and uni work), the idea is that it be a solid but upgradeable PC.

You don't need the thermal paste, or the grunt of a 212. If you want a better cooler than stock, the Hyper TX3 is smaller and cheaper.

Oh, and with no GPU you have an unnecessarily large PSU, maybe have a look at this Antec or for noise this BeQuiet! since it's a recording build.

212 is usually excessive if you don't have a CPU capable of OC'n. The thermal can also go as well.

4GB of Ram is quite low, probably go for a 8GB stick or Dual channel 8GB.

You won't need a 600W PSU if you have a intel chip and plan to use a Mid-range Nvidia card. If you can find a PSU that's cheaper in the 500-550 range you might save on that.

Looks solid. If you ever plan to do gaming (Aside from the light stuff) you probably wasn't to buy a dedicated GPU but that can come later I guess :D

Thanks :) Yeah, it's something I aspire to for sure!

I changed the PSU to an EVGA 500W which saves me £12. If it gets noisy I'll start by changing the stock CPU fan...I could be wrong of course :P
