I already own an EVGA GTX 670 in my current PC, the parts in the build above are parts to upgrade my current build (which is a bit crappy).

Any tips and hardware recommendations would be appreciated.

Whats the main purpose for your build? Gaming? video editing/rendering? etc...

Gaming, Wanting to run games such as DayZ Mod, Star Citizen on high settings. Also I am thinking about buying one of the Asus Z97's instead as reviews show that Asus is more reliable especially when I will want to OC my CPU, thanks for the reply

I'm suggesting the following if you wanted to save a little money with just as good performance for gaming only:

-CPU: you won't need an i7 for gaming, an i5 will be just as good costing substantially less.

-Motherboard: I'd go for a different model as you said, Asus are definitely more reliable but greatly more expensive if you want to save some more money a MSI Z97-G45 for what it offers seems very decent.

-Cooling: I'd purchase a cooler for your CPU as you'll be over clocking(unless you already have water cooling or a CPU cooler that is efficient enough purchased already)

-PSU: in this case a little overkill but I guess that will give you room for future upgrades.

-RAM: 2x8gb is overkill for just gaming, I'd downgrade to 2x4gb's of RAM for half the price. Your old PC build I assume will have 2x4gb's?

If you do however end up to be doing video rendering ignore everything I've said, apart from the part about the motherboard.

Thanks man , i heard that future games will require 6 cores to run which the i5 will not perform as well at as the i7 and no my current pc as 3x 2 gb ddr2 :(
