How BEAST is the BEASTMACHINE?

My computers have always been lovingly named 'BEASTMACHINE'. I'm finally upgrading from my fail ridden laptop and would like your opinions on this build I am thinking of putting together for work/Adobe/3d modeling as well as some intense gaming. Will be my first ever build! thanks!

I think your missing a case, o well, probably just a mistake, anyway something like this http://pcpartpicker.com/part/thermaltake-case-ca1b600f1wn00 I prefer the thermaltake, but you could also go with this http://pcpartpicker.com/part/phanteks-case-phes614lbk the Thermaltake has better water cooling potential and air cooling than the Phanteks case, they are both good but its a matter of preference. http://www.overclockersclub.com/reviews/phanteks_enthoo_luxe/7.htm

I actually am going to buy a corsair 760T off of a friend, listed under custom. But if that falls through, the Thermaltake you listed looks like a good alternative :)

No prob, I'm getting the Thermaltake this Chistmas or Cyber Monday myself.

You don't need a wired adapter, MOBO has ethernet, spend the money you save on that toward a better power supply. And sound cards, unless you spend big on a real good one, my opinion is stick with onboard sound rather than spending good money on a slight improvement.

Great advice, thanks!

What do you think would be a better power supply that is still affordable?

It's $20 more than the CX before mail in rebate, but loads better.

Do you think the aftermarket CPU cooler I selected will be enough for this CPU, even if I get into some overclocking?

It's stated to be good to 180 watts TDP, for what that's worth. It will be fine for a mild overclock, but you will need something more expensive to overclock the hell out of it.

Wow, thanks for all the feedback!
