This is the first phase of my Gaming PC build. I will be adding other parts on to it in the future. Mainly, another GTX 760 and a SSD.

If you have any suggestions for this build, please leave a comment. This is the first PC I am building so any help is more than welcome! :D

How come you didn't just go with a more powerful graphics card such as a 970 instead of adding another gtx 760 later on.

I don't have a lot to spend all at once so I figured it may be better to get one gtx 760 for now and in 6 - 12 months getting another instead of getting a 970 or similar gpu all at once.

Basically 2 payments of $200ish or 1 payment of $400 - 500ish

What do you think is better

the 970. Newer architecture, more efficient power usage (bumps current build up by ~$180)

a second 760 may have you upgrade the psu as well to compensate (pcpp shows that it gets dangerously close to 600W when i add a second 760 to the build.. 70W isnt a lot of head room) if you still choose to go that route; so thats possibly another $180 + a new psu

Also what is considered a "good" psu headroom?

I would go with a 970. You can get a evga 970 for $329 and you will love it. The most a 970 is will be 409 for a super over clocked edition
