I put my PC together back in like '08/'09, it's a i7-920 and I'm using a GTX 470 at the moment.

Here's what I plan on buying, and since it's been a while since I messed with anything more then the memory and graphics card I wanted to make sure I'm not skipping over anything important, or incompatible.

My plan is to keep the current Case, Power Supply, Memory, and HDs that I'm using now, except use the SSD for the OS where as I'm not currently doing that. Since this will only be the 2nd time I've dealt with mobos/power I wanted to make sure that my old power supply is still good for the new components. My current memory sticks are 1333, which are the bare minimum datarate for the motherboard selected, I've no idea how big of an impact that is or isn't. Oh, also I have 2x (3x 4GB) since my current motherboard has 6 slots. Is that an issue with the memory I have, or can I use it as 16gb?

So, does this build look good | make sense? It will be used for gaming and software development primarily, and running two 1080p monitors. I did get a 4k TV recently and was wondering it could run on that as well.

Also, I don't plan on overclocking initially, at least not until I upgrade the memory sticks as well sometime around next march most likely, so do I need the CPU Cooler? Previously I was just using the stock one that came with the cpu.

Thanks for any input & help.

o-o

As long as you have 4 x 4gb you'd be fine (recommended same brand/speed).
