Reasoning behind parts. CPU: Choose because it is overclock-able, and will handle gaming very well. CPU Cooler: Inexpensive and had a high rating from many people. Motherboard: Good board for overclocking and i like the colors. Memory: Inexpensive and will get the job done. Storage: 64 MB cache speed and is 1 TB. Also is from a manufacture that has been making these for a while. Video Card: Quality brand, great chip set, 4 GB Ram built in. Case: Case is a case and I like this one. Power Supply: Quality brand, semi-modular, and give me room for upgrades. Operating System: I want windows 8 instead of 7. Monitor. Need one and this one fits my needs. WiFi Card: I need it Optical Drive: Reads Blu-ray and I want one. Keyboard: I need it. Also comes with a mouse.

I think you're over spending on the case and monitor. But I guess if you really like that case, go for it. There are great alternatives though.
