First build, want some feedback

I'm looking to give building a gaming PC a go for the first time, but I'm pretty clueless on a lot of the details. I took the $1000 build guide as a base and made some adjustments based on my preferences and advice from a friend, but I'm hoping to get a little more help before I start.

Here's the build: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/pogoman/saved/RbZqqs

I don't plan on overclocking it so I took out the cooler, and I don't need a ton of storage so I went purely SSD. I also changed up graphics cards to one my friend recommended. I'm curious as to whether the motherboard and case are good choices, or if people have other recommendations. I'd also like to cut a little cost from the build, but at the end of the day I want it to last a while and to be upgradeable, so I can stay at this price or go a little higher if necessary.

Changed mobo/RAM/SSD/case, shaved some off the total with better RAM choice (dual channel, lower CAS), rest of the changes are same performance, better price.
