This would be my first time building a complete pc. I've worked on them before and know how to do it but never did a full build. Let me know what you think, this is for gaming only. I am planning on doing this, haven't bought anything yet.

970s and 980s are for gamers. Workstation cards normally use a different branding. There is no reason on getting 16GB RAM, stick with 8. And also look at 840 EVO and 850 Pro SSD, they are more suitable for your build.
