Hi,

I am about to finally purchase my $1000 budget gaming PC, and I tried my best to take advantage of as many holiday deals as possible. Any last suggestions or comments before I make this purchase?

Thanks!

Instead of GTX 760 go for R9 280/280X, better performance for similar price, and there's no point in getting OC RAM, 1600 or 1866 is fine.

Thanks for the tips. My only issue is that although the R9 280/280X has better performance for a similar price, I have yet to find one where the reviews are universally favorable, whereas there are numerous GTX 760 cards that have superb ratings.

As for the RAM, I will switch to the G.SKILL Sniper Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 (PC3 14900) Desktop Memory, which is listed at $57 at newegg.
