[Build Help] Need advice on first build

Hey guys this is my first build, I need advice on whether my parts work well together or if I should switch something out. I want to spend <$1500 USD. I have 3 graphic cards because some activities I will be doing are gpu-specific and intensive. Thanks.

What do you need all that graphic processing power for? Bitcoin mining?

  • Added a decent CPU cooler that comes with thermal paste, if you intend to overclock I'd add a water cooler
  • That motherboard only supports 3 way crossfire at 8/4/4 speed which is likely to slow the GPU's down, added one that supports 16/8/8 speed
  • That memory is slow and expensive, replaced with faster and cheaper
  • That's a laptop HDD, replaced with a desktop one
  • An SSD for the OS will improve load times a lot
  • The Phantom case has poor air flow, those GPU's are going to get hot. Suggest a CM HAF 932, it comes with 4 big fans, one of which blows straight over the GPU's
  • PSU not big enough, replaced with 1300w
  • Don't need wired network adaptor, on motherboard
  • Don't need extra fans or fan controller, connect the 4 fans that come with the case to the motherboard
