Windows 7 Pro for Refurb PC's

I am looking to do some upgrades to my desktop, which is currently running Windows Vista Business (OEM system builder license). I found a copy of Windows 7 Pro for Refurb PC's that is specifically for upgrading from Vista Business.

My question, however, is on the hardware side as I would like to upgrade the CPU on that machine, which means also getting a new motherboard. Will Windows give me a problem if I upgrade that hardware? If not, should I upgrade the hardware before or after upgrading Windows?

well, the answer probably depends on the type of vista license you own. Was it an OEM license that came with the computer or did you buy it yourself in a box store?

It is an "OEM system builder license" that I purchased from NewEgg when I built the system.

From a legal stanpoint, OEM versions are not transferable.
