I plan on building this over the next month or so.

I will eventually add another GPU for Crossfire and a few more SSD's, hence the 1k PSU.

I already have the Thermaltake Core v71 for my case.

This will be my first foray into building a computer, gaming or otherwise.

You plan on overclocking? Great stuff here. Although you can go for the $14 optical drive, unless you need that one for some reason?

Overclocking is something that I will certainly get into. I have absolutely no idea how, but I plan on learning. As far as the optical drive, that is the one area I didn't put any research into. I just chose the BD player with the best review score. lol

I don't know how to overclock either, good luck with it! I see you're like me: I don't use a lot of drive storage, haha. Yeah, optical drives are nice and cheap. Not a problem, happy building!
