To Start, this build IS for heavy gaming along with video editing and photoshop. So yes, I do need that i7. I plan to get an SSD later on for the OS but I do not want to get it right now. Otherwise, i'm waiting until the end to pick out a power supply so I can edit things if need be and not have to worry about the PSU.

great but you should take an h97 or z97 motherboard

Z97 motherboard for not having the trouble of upgrading BIOS + getting newer features. If possible, you might consider downgrading to a GTX970 for a better price-performance efficiency.
