  • I'd add an after market cpu cooler, the AMD stock cooler is awful
  • Better motherboard, no risk of needing a bios update which is a pain
  • Cheaper memory, 1866 is a sweet spot for price and performance
  • Better and cheaper GPU

The thing you should have done to cut cost was buy your components around Thanksgiving.

And if your dead set on lowering cost then drop the SSD entirely and go with a less expensive case.
