Can someone please tell me if these are compatible and solid for expansion in the future as well as stable setup for overclocking? Thank you.

The parts are compatible, although in the future you would want to just replace the CPU and Motherboard. Everything else could be carried over well. As far as overclocking, I'm really not sure.

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/8t9XFT I mainly changed the cpy to a i5, added a liquid cooler, a faster ssd and a more overclockable gtx 970. With this you should be able to within the low 4ghz range
