What motherboard + cpu combo will go good with R9 270x 2gb video card?

Hey all. So i have a computer i built a while back and i upgraded the video card to an XFX R9 270x 2gb video card not too long ago.. my current mobo + cpu is a Gigabyte GA-MA785G-UD3H mobo with an AMD Athlon II x4 620 Processor. So it is only DDR2 compatible.. Im wanting to get a newer mobo so i can use DDR3 ram.. I mainly use my PC for Gaming.. MMO's, RPG's, Shooters.. And i like to play my games on max/ultra settings.. i have a dual-monitor setup so i usually have some websites and other programs up on the 2nd monitor at the same time.. Any suggestions for a decently priced mobo+cpu+ram combo? or if they dont come as a combo, what works best together with the R9 270x video card? id like to have room to be able to upgrade in several years if needed.. I like AMD products so far.. I have seen a suggestion of the 990fx mobo and fx 8320 cpu go good with the R9 270x.. Thank you in advance for your suggestions :D

any of this would work fine with the 270x and not bottleneck it. But you would need to overclock, a good idea would be to get a cooler like the HYper evo. All are under 200, there can be better builds but depends if you are willing to increase your budget.

Thank you for the parts list suggestions. I am not really good at overclocking atm.. i have my video card slightly overclocked though. I can probably bump up my budget to the $300 range or so if needed... so you prefer the gigabyte mobos over asrock? I kept hearing asrock was a really good amd mobo. Thoughts?

it will depend on which model, but in general gigabyte. with fm2+ the better ones are the gigabyte and asrock.

Im looking at the motherboards and people are actually saying the Asus M5A99FX PRO R2.0 ATX AM3+ Motherboard is pretty good for the money... should i try sticking with the 990fx + 8320 cpu combo or were you saying there are better combos for that price?

Would you recommend a different brand for the mobo and cpu? Or are those pretty good?
