BUYING TONIGHT - GAMING BUILD - $1550

The build is about $1550 with my GPU (got it 2 weeks ago), the GTX 970. I also have a 24 inch 1080p Asus monitor with a 1 or 2ms response time and it's also 144Hz. I am going to be playing and recording many games on high settings. I will also host a few private servers (Minecraft and GMod) for just myself and a few friends. I have 60+Mbps download speed, 12-13 Mbps upload speed and my ping is 3-10 (varies day to day) milliseconds. So, here it is:

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/MFdRHx You don't need more than 8GB of ram for gaming. I got a black liquid cpu cooler and a SSD and a cheaper keyboard and mouse

You only need 8GB of RAM and maybe 1TB (kept 2TB in there to be safe) for the uses you specified. The savings were spent on an SSD and a proper CPU cooler.

This looks good. I'll definitely consider this. The SSD would be nice to have.

It makes a world of difference. The M500 isn't the fasted thing on the planet, but it has excellent read speeds, which are great for booting the OS and loading games. The write speeds are mediocre, but they are still not terrible, and they are worlds better than a mechanical drive.
