Which build seems better?

I have two builds. One I built and one someone built for me. I intend on playing games such as Arma 2, Garry's mod, Arma 3, Rust, League of Legends etc. Here they are:

The 970 is a more powerful video card, but of course more expensive.

Games won't use 8 cores, you can get an I5 for less and get better performance.

Maybe consider;

That CPU would give better performance? If so it'd be a much greater switch

An I5 will give better gaming performance than an FX chip.

A good bang for your buck chart, it only lists the 6 core FX chip, but like I said games don't use 8 cores anyway - http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gaming-cpu-review-overclock,3106-6.html

If you order within the next 28 hours, you could get a 750W tier 1 PSU for $70 (after MIR). Although with a H97 mobo and locked CPU, you're not going to need near that wattage since you can't sli or OC. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817438017&cm_re=supernova_G2-_-17-438-017-_-Product

Why not windows 8?
