I am building a pc and currently I am wondering about the RAM and the motherboard. I wanted to hear your opinion mates.

So I am hesitating between some options:

G.Skill Trident X Series 16GB DDR3-2400 ( https://pcpartpicker.com/part/gskill-memory-f32400c10d16gtx )

G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 16GB DDR3-2133 ( https://pcpartpicker.com/part/gskill-memory-f32133c9d16gxh )

I was planning of using Asus Maximus VII Hero, but recently as I was researching more I find out that it is a good motherboard for over clocking, currently I am not planning on over clocking it, so I was thinking if I should get the Asus Maximus VI Hero or the Asus Z97-PRO to save some money. What's your opinion mates?

Thank you in advance!

Personally I'd go with the Z97 PRO, it will save you money that you didn't need to spend on the Hero. And I'd go with the 2133 memory, though there's really no problem with either.

What do you think about the Asus Maximus VI Hero?

You mean the Maximus VII Hero, right? They're two different items, I almost got confused replying to you haha. Anyway, with the VII Hero, I just wouldn't go for it because it's so expensive. If you had a giant budget I would say maybe, but I think the Z97 PRO is much more worth your money.

Yeah I meant the Maximus VII Hero. My apology sir, I misspelled it haha. I understand what you mean now, but the thing is that the difference between them is like 10$ and yeah, I honestly prefer the Maximus VII Hero, because it works really good with an i7 4970k.

Here's a great thread about the decision, as far as Z97 PRO vs Maximus VII Hero. The Z97 PRO has a Wifi version that I would not recommend.
