This is my first build, going to be used largely for gaming. Think the pieces are good regarding getting the performance that I want, I just want to make sure everything looks good to people more experienced than I am before I go and commit the money.

Not bad not bad at all... except a few things.

  1. You may want a better cooler because it's just... overall better and will make your computer quieter.

  2. Get a monitor with 5ms response time. 8ms is just about unbearable while gaming.

Other than that, I don't see anything else that's not so good. I like it!

Thanks, this is exactly the kind of feedback I was looking for

If I might ask, is there any particular brand of cooler you would recommend? What price range would be reasonable?

I like the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO. The Zalman CNPS9000ish Silent (whatever it's called, google it up or something) series thing is also great, and comes at $40.
