Will this card reader work for my motherboard?

I plan on using this motherboard for the PC I'm going to build: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/msi-motherboard-z87gd65gaming

I also need a card reader, and this one looked rather nice: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820815002

It looks as though it's going to work, but since I'm not 100% sure, I wanted to check before I go and buy it.

Perfect! Turns out my case actually doesn't have USB3 front panel ports, and this reader has a bunch of USB ports in addition to the ones on the case.

So if I use this reader and plug in the USB2 ports from it, will I still be able to use the USB2 ports on the case? Or will I have to leave one unplugged?
