Hey, I'm a new builder and I have no idea on how to build a well functioning system. I have a build and I don't know if it will function well or how good of a computer it would be for gaming. I need some help please.

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/Z8D4wP Im going to be honest, it was bad. It would function but you could do a lot better. It has a gtx 970 which is leagues ahead of the r9 270x and it has a fx 6300. It should play most games at max or near max. I'll explain later what was wrong with your build if someone else doesn't, im on mobile.

  • No need for processor with built-graphics if discrete video card used.
  • Overpriced HSF.
  • For gaming system 8GB is sufficient.
  • DDR3-1866 is typically intended for current AMD processors.
